This is the National Radio Company HRO 5T Communications Receiver. Hundreds of these radio sets were used during the Second World War at 24 listening stations around Britain. This particular receiver was built around 1938. It was my own first real communications set bought in 1966 when it was already nearly 30 years old. I paid 17.00 GBP for it. It was worth every penny and I still have it.
